Volunteers at The Center for Pregnancy Choices of LawrenceCounty hope baby bottles can feed the facility more operatingfunds.
The CPC, a Christian organization that strives to save the lifeof unborn babies, will be holding a fund drive through May andJune, but the charity needs volunteers to help organize for theevent.
Angela Green, an Anatomy and Physiology instructor atCopiah-Lincoln Community College, and her students recently donated441 baby bottles for the event.
“Because of this generous donation the center will not have topurchase bottles to be used in the upcoming fundraiser,” saidCecile Stanback, center director.
However, the center needs churches and other organizations tomake the bottles available to groups to fill them with donations, she said. The bottles would be picked up before Mother’s Day on May13 and returned after Father’s Day on June 17.
The center services many surrounding counties and is open toanyone needing assistance with an unplanned or crisis pregnancy,Stanback said. It is funded through grants, appropriations fromsome area churches and private donations.
