Memorial services for Pauline Varnado Goza of Durango, Colo.,are planned for May 2005 at which time her ashes will be buried inPleasant Hill Cemetery. Durango Funeral Options of Colorado is incharge of arrangements.

Mrs. Goza, 83, died Dec. 22, 2004, at Four Corners Health CareCenter in Durango. She was born in Jefferson County on May 31,1921, to Sammie and Ellen Varnado.

She worked as a seamstress and homemaker. She was a member ofthe Eastern Star and enjoyed gardening, crocheting and knitting.She had been a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. She marriedBernie S. Goza in Vicksburg on July 14, 1961.

Survivors are her daughter Christie Ivey and her husband GeorgeD. Ivey Jr.; her grandson, George A. Ivey; and her granddaughter,Sarah Ivey, all of Durango.
