Lynch’s 49 points lead BA past Tigers

CENTREVILLE — The Brookhaven Academy Cougars got a game-high 46points from forward T-Boy Lynch on their way to a 67-61 win overthe Centreville Academy Tigers in overtime Saturday night. Lynchalso grabbed 5 rebounds, made 6 steals and had 4 assists.
In the girls game, Kelli Snider pumped in 15 points, including 3treys, to spark the unbeaten Lady Cougars to a 55-26 victory overthe Lady Tigers.
Brookhaven Academy travels to Central Private in Baker, La.,Monday.

Coach Dale Watts watched his Cougars outscore the Tigers 9-3 inovertime to win their season opener.
Contributing to the BA win with 9 points and 7 rebounds wasBlaine Roberts.
Centreville got 20 points from Jerrod Watkins. Drew Davis netted16 points.

In the girls game, Drew Holland Tiger fired in 12 points andgrabbed 6 rebounds for the Lady Cougars. Kacey Rutland collected 9rebounds and made 5 steals.
The BA girls, coached by Barry Gray, improved to 5-0 on theseason.
The Lady Tigers were led by Kim Palmer and Emily Vane with 5points apiece.
