The Brookhaven Academy Cougars crushed the Wilkinson CountyChristian Academy Rams 61-17 Saturday night in John R. GrayGymnasium as Brock Smith and Sidney Chaffin tossed in 12 pointsapiece.

The Lady Cougars romped to a 68-33 triumph, paced by Laura BethWright and Terah Winborne with 21 and 16 points respectively.

The Cougars (4-3) got 10 rebounds from Chaffin. Will Hickman had 8boards and Smith 7.

Brennan Miller made 3 assists as the Cougars roared to a 43-6halftime lead.

The Lady Cougars (9-1) got 6 rebounds apiece from Summer Calhounand Mary Lindsey Magee. Winborne had 5 rebounds as they took a43-12 halftime lead.

Terri Fisher led WCCA and all scorers with 19 points. BethanyFletcher netted 12 points.

Junior High Action

The Cougars edged the Rams 61-53 as Zack Smith and Paxton Trulleach scored 10 points. Ross Foreman had 8 points, Will Byrd 6 andAustin Smith and Landon Nettles 5 apiece. Four points were scoredby Clayton Brown and Ross Felder.

Wilkinson was led by Barry Gaston’s 13 points. Harrison Holdenadded 12 points and Colton Nettles 10.

The BA girls beat Wilkinson 39-7 as Destiny Allen scored 11 pointsfor the winners. Becca Harvey added 5 points and Marlee Watts 4.McKenzie Davis had 4 rebounds.
