Services for Earl Hill of Rankin County, formerly of Brookhavenare 2 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 19 at Kynett United Methodist Church withburial in Carver Heights Cemetery.

Visitation is Monday from noon until 8 p.m., with family presentat 7 p.m., at Williams Mortuary.

Mr. Hill, 82, died Oct. 14, 2004 in Rankin County. He was bornin Copiah County on August 12, 1922, to Willie Hill and LudellaHill.

He retired from the creosote plant after 30 years of employment.He was an Army veteran. He was a member of Friendship Lodge Orderof Elks. He was a member of Kynett United Methodist Church. He wasa member of Keystone Lodge 72 order of Masons. He was the Patron ofStar Hope Chapter 68 of the Eastern Star. He was a member of theHeroines of Jericho. He was a 32nd degree Mason of the Consisteryof Jackson. He was a member of the Rissa Temple Order of Shrinersin Jackson. He was a member of Kynett United Methodist Church. Hewas a graduate of Alexander High School.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his wife, Blanche R.Hill; and eight siblings.

Survivors are his sons and daughter-in-law, Edward Hayes, FeltonHayes, and Shelton and Brenda Hayes, all of Brookhaven; hisdaughters and sons-in-law, Allean and Ernest Ratcliff, Debra andHenry Coleman, and Ramonia Williams, all of Brookhaven; hisstep-daughter, Glenda and Arthur Galloway of Birmingham, Ala.; hissisters, Christine Godbolt of Detroit, Mich., Willie Holmes ofJackson, and Janie Lee Magee of Brookhaven; 17 grandchildren; and13 great-grandchildren.
