Larry D. Smith
Services for Larry D. Smith of Brookhaven are 2 p.m., Sunday,Nov. 12, at Damascus Baptist Church with burial in the churchcemetery.
Mr. Smith, 74, died Friday, Nov. 10, 2000, of heart failure atFranklin County Hospital. He was born in Franklin County on Aug.31, 1926, to the late Louis and Luna Smith Smith.
He was a retired surveyor. He was a member of Damascus BaptistChurch. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
Survivors are his son, Larry L. Smith of Brandon; daughters,Camellia Nettles of Brookhaven and Madaline Lee of Port Gibson;sister, Evelyn McManus of Brookhaven; five grandchildren; and sixgreat-grandchildren.
Brookhaven Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Rebecca Lynn Wallace
Services for Rebecca Lynn Wallace of Bogue Chitto are 2 p.m.,Sunday, Nov. 12, at Bethel Baptist Church with burial in the churchcemetery.
Visitation is Sunday, Nov. 12, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. atBrookhaven Funeral Home.
Miss Wallace, 18, died Thursday, Nov. 9, 2000, of injuriessustained in a motor vehicle accident on Jackson-Liberty Road. Shewas born in McComb on Sept. 15, 1982, to Winston and Beverly QuinWallace.
She was a student at West Lincoln High School, where she amember of the girls basketball and softball teams, the Fellowshipof Christian Athletes, Beta Club and served as class secretary forthe senior class. She was named basketball maid at the 2000homecoming festivities and was voted most athletic. She was also ateacher’s helper in the special education class at West LincolnSchool and would have been an Honors graduate of the Class of 2001.She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church.
Preceding her in death were her grandparents, Emmett and JuliaBelle Wallace, and a grandfather, Lucious Harold Quin.
Survivors are her parents; brothers, Mitchell Wallace andMatthew Wallace; grandmother, Linnie Grace “Moon” Quin, all ofBogue Chitto; great-grandmother, Bonnie Freeman of Brookhaven; andnumerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
