Services for James Paul Coleman Sr. of Wesson are 10 a.m.,Saturday, Oct. 20, at Harrigill Funeral Home Chapel with burial inMt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery.

Visitation is today from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Coleman, 72, died Oct. 17, 2001, at his residence. He wasborn in Lincoln County on July 24, 1929, to John C. Coleman andJennie Belle Varnado Coleman.

He was an oil field consultant for 44 years, working with NobleDrilling Company, L. L. & E and Zapata Offshore. He was amember of the Baptist faith. He was an Army veteran of WWII.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his daughter, JenniferJane Coleman; and his brother, Lawrence Felix Coleman.

Survivors are his wife, Verna Lorell Coleman of Wesson; hissons, James Marlin Coleman of Ruth, James Paul Coleman Jr. ofLaurel, and Frederick Ian Coleman of Wesson; his daughter, AliciaNicole Coleman of Picayune; his stepdaughter, Angela D. Jones ofWesson; his brother, John Daniel Coleman of Brookhaven; his sister,Rachel Britt of Brookhaven; and 12 grandchildren, eightgreat-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
