BA girls defeat ACCS

NATCHEZ – Center Anna Gatlin scored 12 points and forward AncyMyers chipped in 10 as the Brookhaven Academy Lady Cougars defeatedAdams County Christian School 41-32 Monday night in the openinground of the ACCS Girls Tipoff Tournament. Brookhaven Academy alsobeat ACCS 47-10 in a junior high game.
Brookhaven Academy plays Porter’s Chapel at 4 p.m. and 5:15today in the second round..
The Lady Cougars (1-0) got 7 rebounds from Gatlin. Leah Davishad 6 rebounds. Myers and Abby Williams each had 4 steals as theyforged a 22-16 halftime lead.
The Lady Rebels got 9 points from Megan Marchbanks.

The Lady Cougars were led by Emily Langley and MichelleThibodeaux with 10 points each. Kaci Williams had 8 points andMaddie Allen 6.
Six points by Nikkie Manuel led ACCS.
