Audrey Scott Huber

Audrey Scott Huber, 87, passed away Nov. 27, 2005, at the homeof her daughter in Lindon, Utah, due to causes incident to age.
She was born in Brookhaven on July 14, 1918, the second daughterof Della Smith and Denon Scott. Audrey graduated from Loyd StarHigh School in 1937 and married Bennie L. Woolley in 1938. They hadone daughter, Rita Ann. Bennie passed away in July, 1941. AfterBenny’s death, Audrey went to work for her brother-in-law at J.A.Huber Shoe Shop in Jackson. In 1956, she marred Clarence C. Hultzbut was again a widow in 1958. She married Henry A. Huber in 1974,and they continued to run the business together until poor healthforced them to close the shop.
Huber Shoe Shop was a landmark on Capitol Street for many years,and Audrey made many friends there in the 42 years she worked.Widowed again in 1981, she moved to Clinton until 1999, when shemoved to Utah to live with her daughter and to be near hergranddaughters and great-grandchildren.
Survivors include daughter Rita Woolley Penix (Roy G.), ofLindon; two granddaughters, Audrey Theresa Allred (Mike), of Lehi,Utah, Debra Michelle Okelberry (Scott), of American Fork, Utah;seven great-grandchildren: Benjamin, Joshua and Rebecca Allred,Matthew, Camille, Steven and Michelle Okelberry. She is alsosurvived by sisters, Wisie Smith, of Wesson, Nita Hanenkrat, ofRancho Santa Margarita, Calif., and Virginia Hurst, ofBrookhaven.
Audrey was preceded in death by three husbands; her parents; andan older sister, Agnes Woolley.
The family would like to give special thanks to Leann Jackson.She has been Audrey’s hospice nurse during her illness and a veryspecial friend to all of us. She has been our own angel during thelast three years.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, Dec. 4 at 12:30 p.m. atRiverwood Family Funeral Service in Brookhaven with burial in NewHope Methodist Church Cemetery.
Visitation will be prior to services at 11 a.m.
