Funeral services for Alex Buie, of Brookhaven, are 2 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 1, at Center Street Church of Christ, with burial in Pleasant Grove Church Cemetery in Silver Creek. Williams Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.

     Visitation is Friday from 3 until 7 p.m. at the funeral home, with the family present from 6 until 7.

     Mr. Buie, 73, died Aug. 27, 2012, at his home. He was born in Lincoln County on Oct. 7, 1938.
