Funeral services for Mildred Ann Commander Herring, ofBrookhaven, are noon on Monday, Dec. 5, at Riverwood Family FuneralService, with burial in Riverwood Memorial Park.

    Visitation is Monday from 10 a.m. until noon at the funeralhome.

    Mrs. Herring, 70, died Dec. 2, 2011, at her home. She was born inGeorgia on Oct. 16, 1941.

    She was a faithful member of Southway Baptist Church and graduatedfrom Mississippi School for the Deaf in Jackson.

    Preceding her in death were her father, Dr. Willard MarcusCommander; husband, James Taylor Herring; son, James RobertHerring; and sister, Patsy Commander Vaughan.

    Survivors are her mother, Mary Sue Lamb Commander; sister, SueCarol Commander Trantham and husband, Cecil; nephews, KevinTrantham, Tatum Trantham and Charles Vaughan; and niece, SusanahVaughan.
