Services for Bernard Edward Johnston of McComb are 10 a.m.,Tuesday, Aug. 20, at Hartman Funeral Home. The Rev. Zack Moak willconduct the services.

Visitation is today from 4-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Johnston, 80, died Aug. 17, 2002, at Beacham MemorialHospital in Magnolia. He was born in the Shady Grove community inLincoln County on Jan. 17, 1922, to W. D. Johnston Sr. and Clara C.Johnston.

He was a retired truck driver with North American Van Line. Hewas a member of North McComb Baptist Church. He was an Army veteranof WWII. He was a member of Topisaw Lodge #413 in Lincoln Countyfor over 50 years.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his wife, Bertha MaeJohnston; and his brothers, Harry and Terry Lee Johnston.

Survivors are his sons and daughters-in-law, Keith and LoniJohnston of Pensacola, Fla., and Kevin and Madge Johnston ofMcComb; his brother and sister-in-law, W. D. and Ruth Johnston ofSummit; his sister, Lemmie R. Cook of McComb; and hisgrandchildren, Lacy and Trey Patterson of Birmingham, Ala., KatyJohnston and Matthew Johnston, both of Pensacola, and JustinJohnston and Mitch Johnston, both of McComb.

Memorials may be made to a charity of choice.
