Funeral services for Eugene Wallace, of Bogue Chitto, are 2 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 27, at Jones Family Funeral Services in McComb, with burial in Montgomery Baptist Church Cemetery. The Rev. Lance Moak will officiate.

     Visitation is Thursday from noon until 2 p.m. at the funeral home.

     Mr. Wallace, 74, died Dec. 22, 2012, at his son’s home in Magnolia. He was born in Lincoln County on March 28, 1938, to Lowery and Rena Freeman Wallace.

     He was a contractor and worked for Carl E. Woodward Construction for many years. He loved fishing and coon hunting with his cousin, Lewis Wallace.

     Preceding him in death were his parents; two brothers, Melvin Wallace and Edmond Wallace; and one nephew, Justin Wallace.

     Survivors are his three sons, Gary Eugene Wallace and wife, Melissa Briggs, of Magnolia, Terry Wayne Wallace and wife, Angie, of Bogue Chitto, and Mitchell James Wallace, of Magnolia; sister, Joyce Fairchild, of Brandon; eight grandchildren, David Wallace, Brittnie Wallace, Haylee Wallace, Clay Wallace, Miranda Matte, Jordan Oakman, Austin Wall and Zachary LeBlanc; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.
