Ratliff yet to be found

The search continues for a missing 83-year-old Brookhaven womanwho disappeared possibly as long ago as Thursday.
Virginia Ratliff, who is described as a white woman about5-foot-1 and weighing 135 pounds, is believed to have been drivingher white 1999 Mercury Grand Marquis bearing Lincoln County tag987-LIH.
Brookhaven Police Chief Pap Henderson said while local and stateofficials, including BPD, the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Department,the Mississippi Highway Patrol and the Civil Air Patrol, are stillsearching, there have been no substantial leads in the last fewdays.
“We’re still working on this and are still looking for anyonewith any information they can share,” Henderson said.
Authorities said Ratliff might have left home to visit herhusband, Charles, who is hospitalized in Jackson.
Friends of the family said Ratliff has had bouts of dementia andis not otherwise in top health. She said the family is skeptical asto whether she could operate the car for extended periods oftime.
