He was an avid hunter and fisherman, who passed on all his knowledge to his children and grandchildren and all other children who were apart of his life. He was loved, admired and respected by his wife’s parents, Joan Snyder Turnage and Kenneth Roberts.

He loved and served his country as a member in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. He had a genuine love for all of nature and expressed it through gardening and the many structures that he built.

He leaves behind the legacy of love for God, love for your mate, family and friends. He had the determination to persevere through physical pain, and to finish each day knowing that hard work brought great rewards.

He was a member of a Fair River Baptist Church.

Preceding him in death were his parents.
