Funeral services for John Thomas “J.T.” O’Brien III of Topeka, Kansas, were Saturday, Sept. 7, at Pewell Gabel Funeral Home in Topeka. Burial will be at New Hope Methodist Church in Brookhaven at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 10. Brookhaven Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. O’Brien, 42, died Sept. 3, 2013. He was born on March 14, 1971 in Topeka, to John and Patricia O’Brien.

He graduated from Topeka High School and Washburn University with a B.A.

J.T. is survived by his, wife Sara O’Brien; daughter, Mackenzie O’Brien; stepchildren, Jadyn and Jordan; parents, John and Pat Reinartz, all of Topeka; stepbrother, Phil Reinartz; and stepsister, Elizabeth Allen.

He was preceded in death by his father, John O’Brien.
