On Thursday, Aug. 22, 2013, the soul of Mary Winifred Stuart of Wesson passed from this world to eternal rest in answer to her Lord and Savior’s call. Mrs. Stuart was 83 years of age and lived the vast majority of her life as a resident of Copiah County. She was a member of Sweetwater United Methodist Church in Wesson. She is known and remembered as a humble handmaiden of the Lord, a devoted wife, beloved sister and mother, and selfless friend to all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her father, mother and husband of 64 years. She is survived by her son, Charlie F. Stuart Jr. and wife, Ann Kimble-Stuart; daughter, Sue Stuart-Davis and husband, Dean; brother, William R. (Billy) King; grandson, Landon F. Stuart; granddaughters, Shannon Stuart-Thompson and husband, Chance, Chynna Davis, Christal Davis and Peyton McLendon; great-grandson, Vance Thompson; great-granddaughters, Harmonie Thompson and Emma Thompson; and many nieces, nephews and dear friends.

Visitations and offerings of respect are to be held at Riverwood Family Funeral Service in Brookhaven from 5 until 9 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 27, and during the morning of Wednesday, Aug. 28, until shortly before 1 p.m.

Funeral services will take place Wednesday at 1 p.m. at the Riverwood Family Funeral Services chapel. Graveside service and interment will follow at Sweetwater United Methodist Church Cemetery.
