BROOKHAVEN — Lincoln County has a good chance of seeing rain the coming days according to the National Weather Service. Forecasts call for rain chances Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday, Sunday and next Monday.

NWS Jackson forecasts a 30 percent chance of rain Wednesday followed by a 100 percent chance Wednesday night. Thursday’s rain chance is 50 percent but there is no need to be concerned about the Brookhaven Christmas Parade. The rain chances Thursday are all forecast to be before noon at this time.

Saturday and Sunday have 40 percent chances of rain. Those chances of rain will pickup Sunday night to 70 percent followed by 80 percent Monday.

While half of Lincoln County remains under abnormally dry conditions, the NWS forecasts the conditions to improve and drought conditions to come to an end this winter.
