Career Fair serves around 500 local students

BROOKHAVEN — Around 500 students from local high schools went to a career fair at the Lincoln County Civic Center. Susan Price and Robin Case with the Lincoln County School District estimated around 60 businesses with exhibits at the career fair.

Bus loads of high schoolers from Brookhaven High School, Brookhaven Academy, Bogue Chitto, Enterprise, Loyd Star and West Lincoln stopped by the career fair. Students were able to talk to power companies, forestry, medical, first responders, the military, welding, plumbing, banking and insurance companies about a wide variety of careers.
