BROOKHAVEN — Mississippi Department of Health reported A One Stop #12 earned a “C” rating on Oct. 16 following an inspection. Owner Harry Kumar said they received a new inspection Monday and earned an “A” rating. 

According to Department of Health records, A One Stop Location #12, formerly known as Cracker Barrel South, earned a “C” rating on Oct. 16. The gas station is located at 515 US51 South. Department of Health inspection records show the gas station was not compliant with regulations regarding plumbing and backflow devices and sewage waste water being properly disposed of in the inspection on Oct. 16. 

Kumar sent a copy of the inspection report dated Oct. 21 which shows an “A” rating for the same business. The issues were resolved and not marked in the new inspection report. 

The Aspen of Brookhaven earned a “B” rating. Aspen is located at 500 Silver Cross drive and snapped a two “A” rating streak with violation of food contact surface being cleaned or sanitized, which was corrected on site. 

The Fish Fry, located at 738 Industrial Park Road NE, earned an “A” rating for the 15th straight time since 2018 and 17th time since 2016. 

Mitchells Special Events and Catering earned an “A” rating for the 16th time since 2016. Mitchells is located at 1203 Hampton Drive. 

BKwik #12 earned an “A” rating. The gas station is located at 23 East Lincoln Drive NE and has an “A” rating streak of eight now. 

MSA Student Life Center earned an “A” rating for the 15th straight time since 2016. The School of the Arts is located at 355 West Monticello Street. 

Loyd Star School earned an “A” rating for the 19th time since 2013.
