Ole Brook Festival celebrates the Big 5-0 this weekend

Brookhaven’s Ole Brook Festival will take over downtown this weekend for the 50th time.

Live music and food trucks will be in the Railroad Park area 6-9 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 4. Saturday, Oct. 5, the food trucks and music will continue, joined by a classic car show, Kids’ Zone, and more than 100 arts and crafts vendors.

Music Friday will be presented by Mike Rob and the 601 Band. Saturday’s performances begin at 11 a.m. with The Beach Bums, followed by the Mississippi School of the Arts at noon, Komplete at 12:30 p.m., Greg Smith at 1 p.m., Southwind at 2 p.m., and Eric Wood and the Way Down at 3 p.m. to close things out. All performances will take place on the Railroad Park Stage.

The Car Show will be on South Railroad Avenue, as will the food court and dining tent. Vendors will be set up along South Whitworth Avenue.
