BROOKHAVEN — Lincoln County Engineer Ryan Holmes brought a gift of detailed garbage collection maps to the Lincoln County Board of Supervisors Thursday morning. District 1 Supervisor Jerry Wilson received a copy from Holmes as he promised to get additional copies to others.
Readers can view detailed maps here and here with specific streets to see when their routes will run.
Holmes told the board during Thursday’s docket meeting that Dungan Engineering is able to keep track of statistics like how many customers are on each route and the total mileage of the routes with their maps. Arrow Disposal Services Inc. last week of garbage collection comes to an end officially on Sept. 30 as their contract expires.
Supervisors awarded the contract for garbage collection to Waste Management over the summer and finalized the contract this month. Lincoln County residents should have received new green trash cans with instructions from Waste Management on how to place their cans
Waste Management will only use the WM 96 gallon cart for trash, no other carts will be used. No material left outside the garbage bin will be collected. Carts must be placed three feet apart and three feet away from any obstacles such as trees, cars and mailboxes so the automatic arm can lift and empty the cart.
Wheels of the cart need to be placed towards your home. Please remember to bag all trash placed in the cart and have your cart at the curb by 7 a.m.
Extra Carts can be provided for an additional $9.99 through Waste Management. Anyone interested in a second garbage cart can contact 866-604-5062.
ADSI is working to collect its garbage cans from the county and stacks of empty blue cans can be seen at their offices near the Lincoln County E911 Office.
Dungan Engineering sent a detailed version of the City’s garbage collection routes Thursday morning.
