BROOKHAVEN — Randy Emfinger with Dungan Engineering gave an update on a project to correct flooding issues near Lake Lincoln. He filled in for Lincoln County Engineer Ryan Holmes at the Lincoln County Board of Supervisors meeting Monday.
Heavy rainfall normally inundates private property, the roadway and bridge on Lake Lincoln Road before it runs into Sunset Road. Holmes provided updates in previous meetings on a project to fix those issues.
A landowner had complained the lake at Lake Lincoln State Park was responsible for flooding of a creek on their property and a bridge crossing on Lake Lincoln Road. At a February meeting, Holmes said the lake’s levels had not risen since 2017.
Lincoln County Board of Supervisors got an update on the project Monday morning. Boundary surveys and a topographic survey using lidar are complete and will be finalized this week, Emfinger said.
