Its not the heat, its the humidity

BROOKHAVEN — The National Weather Service warns of heat stress conditions returning following a cool Thursday. The heat index for Friday is nearly 10 degrees warmer than the high temperature indicative of high humidity.
Temperatures are forecast to drop to 71 Thursday night before warming up again Friday. The high is 90 with a heat index of 99, it will heat up over the weekend. Relative humidity is forecast to be between 66 and 70 percent during the heat of day Friday and 66 to 88 percent Saturday. Heat indices Saturday could reach 103 degrees.
The National Weather Service in Jackson warns heat exhaustion is likely with prolonged outdoor activity from Friday through Monday. If you do work outside, make sure you take the necessary precautions.
“Remember to stay hydrated and avoid strenuous outdoor activities, and make sure neighbors, relatives and pets have a cool place to spend the day,” NWS Jackson stated.
Friday has a 50 percent chance of rain. Saturday through Wednesday have a chance of rain fluctuating from 30 to 60 percent.
High temperatures will not set any new records over the weekend but humidity could drive the heat index up. Stay hydrated and cool.
