BROOKHAVEN — Samuel Trace Stewart, a recent graduate from Brookhaven Academy, was named the winner of a Ducks Unlimited Scholarship. He is one of five seniors who earned scholarships from the Mississippi Ducks Unlimited Chapter this year. 

Ducks Unlimited’s National Scholarship Program selected 61 winners from across the country. Applications were reviewed by a volunteer selection committee.

Of the 61 scholarships, 50 are varsity level with $500 in awards, 10 were Conservation level with $1,000 in awards and 1 was the National Scholarship with $10,000 in awards. 

Stewart was named the recipient of the Curtis R. Hopkins Varsity Scholarship. He is the son of Darlene Stewart and Sam Stewart.
