Missing 9-year-old located, now safe

A missing child has been safely located, according to the Mississippi Bureau of Investigation.
On Tuesday, May 21, MBI activated an At Risk/Missing and Endangered Person notification for a 9-year-old Hinds County resident.
Jackson Police report Jaylan Smith had been last seen Tuesday about 6 p.m. in the 1300 block of Charleston Drive in the South Jackson area, wearing blue shirt and shorts.
He was described as 4-feet, 7-inches tall, weighing approximately 65 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.
