Update: Project continues to address Lake Lincoln Road flooding

HEUCKS RETREAT — A flooding issue on Lake Lincoln Road continues to be addressed in a project. Lincoln County Engineer Ryan Holmes gave an update to the Board of Supervisors Monday morning.
A landowner had complained the lake at Lake Lincoln State Park was responsible for flooding of a creek on their property and a bridge crossing on Lake Lincoln Road. At a February meeting, Holmes said the lake’s levels had not risen since 2017.
Holmes said in March that surveyors will need to conduct a lidar survey and boundary survey to figure out the property corners at the lake. Surveys are needed before they can start an evaluation and go to the state with remedies for the situation. The issue is in District 2 under supervisor Keith Lewis.
“I got the survey crew scheduled for Lake Lincoln,” Holmes said. “We will let Lewis know so he can call the owner before they get out there to work.”
