Cracker Barrel passes re-inspection following “C” grade

BROOKHAVEN — Mississippi Department of Health reported Cracker Barrel Old Country Store, located at 1207 Hampton Drive, passed a re-inspection after receiving a “C” grade two weeks ago. Five other local establishments passed respective health inspections according to the Mississippi Department of Health.
Dude’s Hot Biscuits earned an “A” rating. The breakfast spot suffered a fire two weeks ago and returned back to business a few days later. Located at 1248 US51 NE, Dudes earned its 11th straight A rating since 2016.
Brookhaven High School earned an “A” rating for the cafeteria. It is the 17th straight A for the high school. West Lincoln Attendance Center earned an “A” rating for the 18th straight time.
Wards of Brookhaven earned an “A” rating for the fifth straight time since 2021 and 12th time since 2013. Wards is located at 201 US 51 North.
Bo-Bo Buffett earned a “B” rating for the first time since 2022. The inspection came after a complaint was made. Two violations were found and corrected on the spot, one for food contact surface cleaned and sanitized and proper hot food holding temperature. It is the fifth “B” for the restaurant since 2016. All 11 other grades have been “A” ratings.
A corrective follow up on Cracker Barrel issued a “B” rating. The national chain restaurant earned a “C” rating on March 18, 2024. The violation cited for the grade was insects, rodents and animals not present.
The corrective follow up found the insects, rodents and animals not present and the permit last inspected posted were corrected on site.
