Funeral services for Kitty Lofton were Tuesday, January 30, 2024, at 1:00 PM at Fair River Baptist Church in Brookhaven, MS with burial in the Fair River Baptist Church Cemetery. Bro. Jerry Hamilton and Pastor Woody Rimes officiated the services with Brookhaven Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Visitation was at Fair River Baptist Church on Tuesday, January 30, 2024, from 11:00 AM till 1:00 PM.

Kitty Lofton, 66, of Brookhaven, MS, passed from this life on January 27, 2024, at Beacham Memorial Hospital in Magnolia, MS. She was born on September 27, 1957, in Wesson, MS, to David Earl Thornhill and Ruby Nell Thompson Thornhill. She was a long-time member of Fair River Baptist Church. Mrs. Kitty was a loving wife to her husband of 45 years, Danny. She was a devoted mother and grandmother who enjoyed serving her family as a homemaker. She loved following her son Chris when he played baseball and softball, and she cherished her “daughter-in-love” Val. Her two grandkids, Tate and Colt, were her very heart.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Ruby Nell Thornhill; infant brother, Bobby Glen Thornhill; mother-in-law, Lillian Lofton; and sister-in-law, Pat Lofton.

Survivors include her father, David Earl Thornhill; her husband, Danny Lofton; son, Chris Lofton and wife Valerie; grandsons, Tate and Colt Lofton; sisters, Sandra “Sudie” Cutrer (Rusty) and Kimberly Reed (Shane); brothers, Mike “Pelo” Thornhill (Kathy) and Kenneth “Dooley” Thornhill (Lisa); sister-in-law, Betty Webb (Richard); brother-in-law, J.R. Lofton (Carolyn); and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
