BROOKHAVEN — Lincoln County Emergency Management Agency Director Chris Reid had a brief report on the impacts of Winter Storm Heather for Lincoln County Supervisors Wednesday. Icy conditions Tuesday pushed the regularly scheduled Lincoln County Board of Supervisors meeting to Wednesday afternoon.
Reid said the county did fine with ice but there remain some slick spots, especially in shaded areas. People should take caution on curves, bridges and heavily shaded areas as ice is slow to melt there. One such slick spot is on Monticello Street by the Inez in Brookhaven.
No major damage has been reported to the Lincoln County EMA, Reid said. Lincoln County had a handful of wrecks but nothing major.
“We appreciate you,” Eli Ferguson, District 4 Supervisor said to Reid after his report.
