County schools to offer Career Tech Job Fair

The Lincoln County School District will sponsor a Career Technical Education Job Exploration Fair on Dec. 11 at the Lincoln Civic Center.
This will be a great opportunity to bring interested students and CTE based employers together to meet and advise students about potential career pathways leading toward a successful future.
This event will feature representatives from various careers, trades, businesses, industries, technical and community colleges and specialty schools. This is a chance to provide students, potential future employees, with information regarding desired skills and abilities that employers are seeking for their respective businesses and industries.
It is strongly encouraged that exhibitors offer hands-on or virtual reality options of real jobs that are in high demand. Allowing participants to be actively engaged will render an experience that will be more meaningful and thought-provoking.
Anyone interested in participating or who has questions can contact LCSD CTE Director Robin Case at 601-754-3206 or robin.case@lincoln.k12.ms.us; or LCSD CTE Student Services Coordinator Susan Price at 601-757-1412 or susan.price@lincoln.k12.ms.us; by Oct. 31. Exhibitors may make use of indoor and outdoor space at the center.
“We are excited about this upcoming event and look forward to this collaboration with local business and industry,” Case said.
Neighboring school districts are also invited to participate. Students will be on-site for approximately three hours at a time. The Job Fair will begin at 8 a.m. with a projected end time of 3 p.m. Lunch will be provided for all exhibitors.
