Tuesday should be Sunny and 74

BROOKHAVEN — Blue bird skies and warm sunshine should accompany a cool breeze Tuesday. Lincoln County can expect sunny, clear skies for most of this week.
National Weather Service in Jackson forecasts temperatures to be around a high of 74 degrees with a low of 45 Tuesday. A calm wind will blow around 5 mph out of the north-northwest. Gusty winds are gone and conditions should be good for a morning squirrel hunt.
Wednesday’s wind will flip to a southern wind. Sunny and a high of 77 will accompany the nice breeze out of the gulf. The low Wednesday night is 50.
Thursday’s forecast is now calling for a 20 percent chance of showers and a high of 78. Wind will start out light in the morning but pick up. Gusts could reach as high as 20 mph.
Friday will be sunny with a high of 80 a low of 71. Gusts could also reach 25 mph.
Please remember a burn ban is in effect for Lincoln County. Open burning is discouraged and violators of the burn ban will be issued a citation.
