In 2021, contractor Anderson Jackson began clearing land on Earls Trail to build a subdivision. This Saturday, Oct. 14, is the grand opening for that development — Pleasant View Ranch, 655 Earls Trail.

“It is open to the public. They can come see what’s available,” Jackson said. “We have two houses available now, plus lots for sale.”

Interested buyers can purchase virtually any size lot they desire in the 119 total acres.

“They can buy the minimum-sized lot of 2 acres, up to all of it, if they want,” said Jackson.

Pleasant View Ranch is “thoughtfully developed and designed for gracious country living,” with a county gravel road through the property, according to Jackson.

Promotional materials describe Pleasant View Ranch as consisting “of mainly pine trees, and offer(ing) a great variety of elevation without being too steep to get around. A place all your own, where the quiet and beauty of the country surrounds you.”

Jackson said there is no time restraint on potential buyers who want to purchase a property now and develop it at a later date. A licensed and bonded contractor, Jackson is available to provide construction through his Houston, Texas, based company, A.J. Jackson Development LLC, but landowners are not obligated to use him as a their contractor.

Waterfront homesites are available in the development, located within the Brookhaven School District, with hiking trails and fishing. No mobile homes or modular homes are permitted, but other restrictions are “sensible” and “low,” Jackson said.

“Note — You will get what you pay for. You will pay for what you want,” Jackson said.
