Registered nurse Angie McKenzie has retired from Copiah-Lincoln Community College after 15 years of service. McKenzie taught the Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) program and helped build and teach the Certified Clinical Medical (CCMA) Program at both the Wesson and Natchez campuses. She has been respected by her students for her fairness and love of teaching.

“Angie McKenzie has been a dedicated and valuable member of the Co-Lin workforce for many years,” said Luke Laird, Workforce Center Director. “She has made a significant impact on the lives of her students and has helped to prepare them for successful careers in the healthcare field. We wish her all the best in her retirement.”

McKenzie plans to spend her retirement traveling and spending time with her family. She will be succeeded by Mendy Johnson, RN, who will begin teaching at Co-Lin in the fall.

“I am thrilled to welcome Mendy Johnson to the Co-Lin family,” said Robin Mitchell, Co-Lin Workforce Coordinator. “She is a highly qualified and experienced nurse who will be a great asset to our program. I am confident that she will continue the tradition of excellence that Angie McKenzie has set.”
