Brookstock XXII is coming up: ‘It’s more than just music’

Saturday, July 22, will see the return of Brookstock to the Home Seekers Paradise.
The one-day festival of “maximum rock and roll” will be the 22nd festival.
Performers include The Laughter of Ruin — featuring Bryan Batson, Ed Tree and Danny Dickey; 4-Way Stop; Mike J. Case; The Mickey Man Band; and The Bridge Band.
The annual festival began as a way for former members of high school rock-n-roll bands to get back together, play and reminisce. It quickly caught on and became a Brookhaven mainstay, one that many music lovers eagerly anticipate each year.
“Brookstock has become a Brookhaven staple for over 20 years now,” said organizer Tyler Bridge. “It’s more than just music. It’s community, it’s coming together, it’s reminiscing, and through all that it’s progressing and growing.”
Doors open at The Brookhaven Building on Belt Line Drive at 5:30 p.m. Music starts at 6:30 p.m. Admission is $10 at the door. Ages 12 and under get in free. Concessions will be available, but “BYOB.”
