BROOKHAVEN — Restaurant Inspections have picked up again this week from the Mississippi Department of Health and six local establishments aced their report. Waffle House was the lone restaurant to fall shy of an A grade. 

Mississippi Adolescent Center, located at 760 Brookman Drive, passed its inspection with an A on June 15. On the same day, Waffle House received a B grade for correcting on sight a problem with the food contact surface being cleaned or sanitized. 

A bulk of the inspections were completed on June 21. OEC Japanese Express, located at 958 Brookway Boulevard Suite G, earned an A. Jaines Pastry Shop, located at 206 Whitworth Avenue, earned an A from the health department too. 

Bogue Chitto’s Taste and See Cakes and Catering, located on 2838 Summit Drive Southwest, earned an A grade. Funky Monkey Yard and More at 1380 Zetus Road Northwest received an A grade too. 

Coming back into town, Angels Eats, located at 358 Dale Trail, earned an A.
