A Brookhaven woman recently won $1,000 on a Cash Pop lottery ticket.

According to the Mississippi Lottery website, the ticket  for the Jan. 15 drawing was purchased at the Blue Sky No. 301 in Summit.

In the Cash Pop game, players can win prizes up to 15x their wager, depending on how many pop numbers they choose on a ticket. The lottery website says players who play five pops have a one-in-three chance of winning. Drawings are held at 2:30 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. daily, and players can choose consecutive draws.
