OLE BROOK FESTIVAL 47: 5K RUN FOR CHARITY

The 47th annual Ole Brook Festival is this coming weekend in downtown Brookhaven. Parking and entry to the festival are free.
The festival will feature arts and crafts vendors, food trucks, live music, a Kids Zone and a car show. Hours are Friday, Sept. 30, 6-9 p.m. and Saturday, Oct. 1, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
A 5K supporting Heritage Hills Orphan Ministry in Brookhaven will be at 8 a.m. Saturday, with registration at 7:30 a.m. The annual run will begin at the Brookhaven-Lincoln County Chamber of Commerce building on South Whitworth Avenue. Road closures will begin mid-afternoon Friday on South Whitworth Avenue between Monticello and West Chickasaw Street. Railroad Avenue will close late Friday evening. The Railroad Avenue south parking lot will close at 5 p.m. Thursday, and the north parking lot will close Friday evening.
