Speeg named Co-Lin Dean of Student Services

Samantha Speeg of Brookhaven has been named Copiah-Lincoln Community College Wesson Campus Dean of Student Services effective June 1.
Speeg previously served as Director of Enrollment Services where she was responsible for administering admissions policies and establishing and supervising the maintenance of all student records for the college district, serving as the principle designated student official for international students, managing the enrollment audit, coordinating all recruitment efforts within the college district to include junior preview days, senior tailgate party, and other on-campus recruitment events; implementing recruitment campaigns including the design and production of marketing materials and the college viewbook; and supervising enrollment services staff on the Wesson Campus.
Speeg has been employed in the Student Services division of the college for the past 13 years where in addition to serving as Director of Enrollment Services she has served as an academic counselor, college registrar, disabilities services coordinator, college recruiter, and counseling center assistant. Speeg has also served as a Phi Theta Kappa advisor, Trailblazer advisor, chaired the Presidential and Leadership Scholarship committees, and been a member of the enrollment management task force. She serves on the college’s Behavioral Intervention Team and Audit Advisory Committee for the Mississippi Community College Board.
As Dean of Student Services, she will oversee athletics, campus police, enrollment services, housing, military community services, student life, student discipline, and will continue to serve as registrar.
“Mrs. Speeg brings a wealth of experience in the area of student services, and we are excited to build on her knowledge to maximize our students’ opportunities and experiences while at Co-Lin,” said Co-Lin Wesson Campus Vice President Jackie Martin.
A graduate of Co-Lin, Speeg earned her Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communication and Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Communications from the University of Southern Mississippi. She received a Master of Science Degree in Higher Education Administration from Mississippi College. Speeg is a member of the Mississippi Association of College Registrars and Admissions Officers and the Southern Association of Collegiate Registrars & Admissions Officers.
Speeg’s many achievements include being awarded Co-Lin Outstanding Staff Member, Mississippi’s ACT Postsecondary Champion, Phi Theta Kappa Paragon Regional and International Advisor Award, Ann Bradberry Award, numerous design awards from the College Public Relations Association of Mississippi and is a graduate of the Mississippi Community College Leadership Academy.
Speeg and her husband, Adam, are the parents of three children, Julia, Eden, and John Daniel.
