COVID update: 475 new cases, 3 new deaths in Lincoln County

Three new deaths were reported Monday for Lincoln County among the 35 COVID-19 deaths statewide Friday through Sunday. Lincoln has now reached 150 deaths over the course of the pandemic.
The county’s new positive test result total has passed 8,000 — adding 475 cases since Thursday’s report to reach 8,018.
The Mississippi State Department of Health reported 16,595 new cases Monday. The state has reported 768,457 cases and 11,285 related deaths to-date.
Friday, King’s Daughters Medical Center in Brookhaven reported 18 patients hospitalized with COVID-19. Eleven of these were unvaccinated and five were in the intensive care unit. Four of those were on ventilators.
KDMC administered 215 monoclonal antibodies in January. Nineteen had been administered in the first four days of February.
