A single-vehicle wreck claimed the life of a man Wednesday night in Lincoln County.

Sheriff’s deputies responded to the crash site on New Sight Drive near Truvillion Trail just after 9 p.m.

A 2005 Chevy Tahoe which had been traveling north on New Sight Drive left the roadway and overturned. The driver was the only occupant in the vehicle and was deceased at the scene, according to Sheriff Steve Rushing.

The driver was identified as Fred Shelton Jr., 43, according to Lincoln County Coroner Clay McMorris.

The accident is under investigation.
