The Exchange Club of Brookhaven named Mary Anson Tate of Brookhaven Academy as its November Youth of the Month.

Tate plays basketball at BA and trains at Rainin 3’s Hoop School. A competitive dancer at Show Stoppers Studio of Dance, she also enjoys playing tennis at Brookhill.

Tate was a class favorite in seventh grade and was recently inducted into the National Honor Society. Tate has participated in local and district science fairs, receiving first place at the local science fair.

Tate plays the violin and enjoys playing as a volunteer at local nursing homes, church and BA chapel. She attends Topisaw Baptist church where she participates in Sunday school and Girls in Action.

She has won awards for her skills in Bible Drill competition. Tate says her greatest experience is her relationship with Jesus Christ.

She is the daughter of Leighton and Sidney Tate.
