A significant winter storm is expected Monday into Monday night, according to the National Weather Service.

Significant ice and sleet accumulations will result in dangerous travel conditions as well as downed trees and power lines, especially where precipitation is predominately freezing rain.

Dangerously cold temperatures will be possible tonight into Sunday across northwest portions of the area as temperatures drop into the teens with single digit wind chills.
