Brookhaven woman dies in 2-vehicle wreck

A Brookhaven woman died as a result of a two-vehicle wreck on Hwy. 84 Monday.
At approximately 3:30 p.m., a 2013 Hyundai Accent driven by Reba Harris Rawls, 65, of Brookhaven, entered Hwy. 84 from Hwy. 583 and was struck by a 2000 Chevrolet pickup traveling eastbound, according to Brookhaven Police Department Master Sgt. Kevin Thompson.
Rawls, of 420 N Seventh St., was pronounced dead at the scene. Her passenger, 13-year-old Bryson Charles Banks of Venice Trail, was injured and airlifted to University of Mississippi Medical Center.
Billy Joe Lowery, of 302 Hwy. 598, Seminary, was the driver of the pickup. Lowery, 40, was seriously injured and transported by ambulance to King’s Daughters Medical Center, Thompson said.
Lowery’s passenger, 37-year-old Robert Joshua Magee, was also injured and transported to KDMC.
