A pair of Wesson Cobras were recently named to the Mississippi Association of Coaches (MAC) 2A All-State team.

Senior long snapper Ethan Ainsworth was selected MAC 2A First Team. Ainsworth was also the starting center for coach Jeremy Loy and the Cobras and was an important part of the defensive line as well.

Junior wide receiver Antrelle Simswas picked for the MAC 2A Second Team after hauling in 61 catches for 1,085 yards and nine touchdowns. Sims began the season at quarterback and also passed for a pair of touchdowns and ran for 372 and four more scores. As a defensive back Sims had a team high five interceptions.

Wesson finished 8-5 and were Region 7-2A champions before being ousted in the second round of the playoffs.
