WL Bears overpower Enterprise

The West Lincoln Bears (4-4, 1-1) got their first Region 7-2A win of the season Friday night with a 33-0 road mauling of the Enterprise Yellow Jackets (1-7, 0-2).
EAC was driving early when West Lincoln defender Justin Pratt picked off a pass and returned it 85-yards to give the Bears a 6-0 lead.
In the second quarter West Lincoln went up two scores on a two-yard run by QB Travis Hall.
The Bears led 12-0 at halftime.
WL got one score in the third quarter on a 30-yard run by senior Michael Brothern.
In the fourth quarter the superior depth and numbers of the Bears began to wear down the Jackets who had moved the ball well most of the night but couldn’t punch one in the end zone.
West Lincoln got fourth quarters scored from Enrico Price on an 18-yard run and another one-yard plunge by Hall.
Enterprise ran for 167 yards on the night with Donovin White and Edrick McCray gained 48 yards each. Brodie Harris had a team high nine tackles for coach Trey Woodard while White and Josh Richardson made eight stops each.
West Lincoln travels to Loyd Star (2-6, 1-1) this week while Enterprise travels to face Bogue Chitto (2-6, 0-2).
