BHS’s Kat Wallace signs letter of intent with Jones

Brookhaven High senior softball player Kat Wallace signed a letter of intent on Nov. 1 with Jones County Junior College/Jones College in a ceremony held in the BHS library. Wallace joins the defending national champion Lady Bobcats after batting a team leading .379 as a junior for the 22-6 Lady Panthers. An infielder, Wallace scored a team high 33 runs in 2018. “Kat is a gritty player who loves the game,” said Lady Panthers head coach Mandy Vinson. “She is very knowledgeable about the game and works hard to constantly better herself. She is a leader who makes everyone around her want to do better.”
