Funeral services for Darius Lee Williams, of Meadville, are Thursday, March 1, 2018, at 11 a.m. at Riverwood Family Funeral Service in Brookhaven with burial at Byrd’s Chapel in Franklin County.

Visitation will be Wednesday, Feb. 28, 2018, from 5 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home and will continue Thursday, March 1, 2018, at 10 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home.

Mr. Williams, 81, died Saturday, Feb. 24, 2018. He was born Aug. 11, 1936, in War, West Virginia, to General Grant Williams and Mamie Jane Parker Williams. He was a sales specialist in the automobile sales industry. He served his country in the United States Army National Guard and was a member of Mary Springs Church of God. He was also an active member of the NRA, and was a person who loved life and enjoyed telling jokes and making people laugh.

He is preceded in death by his parents; son, Greggory Lee Williams; brothers, Davis Haines Williams and Royce Dale Williams; and a sister, June Williams Clark.

Survivors are his beloved wife of 58 years, Brenda N. Holland Williams; sons, Greggory Darius Williams and wife, Krystal, Randy James Arnaud and wife, Kathy; daughters, Kimm Lea Williams and Dara Leigh Williams Jordan and husband, Billy; brothers, Flavous Williams and wife, Anne, Charles Williams and wife, Vonceil, and Howard Williams; sister, Maxine Williams Edwards; grandchildren, Meggan Elizabeth Wilkerson, Amber Richelle Arnaud, Charles Parker Jordan, Paxton Lee Jordan, Alexander Carlton Williams, Gabriel Darius Williams and Korbin Ramsey Williams; great- grandchildren, Melane Elizabeth Wilkerson, Maxwell Landry Wilkerson and Monroe Hayes Wilkerson.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Nathan Steele Foundation through Bank of Franklin.
