Fire reports
The Brookhaven Fire Department responded to sparks coming from an electrical box at 8:31 p.m. Friday on Union Church Road. No injuries were reported. They also responded to a burning power line at 5:39 p.m. Saturday on West Warren Avenue.
Monticello reports
The Monticello Police Department reported no activity Friday through Sunday.
The Monticello Fire Department responded to three separate incidents of limbs on power lines Saturday.
The Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department reported no activity Friday through Sunday.
Copiah County reports
The Wesson Police Department responded to a single vehicle accident involving wildlife on Friday. No injuries were reported.
The Copiah County Sheriff’s Department reported no activity Friday through Sunday.
The Wesson Volunteer Fire Department reported no activity Friday through Sunday.
Highway Patrol report
Mississippi Highway Patrol Troop M responded to an accident involving a freight vehicle carrying three vans at 7:35 a.m. Friday on I-55 near mile marker 27. They responded to a single vehicle accident with injuries at 8:33 a.m. Friday on I-55 near mile marker 37. They responded to a single vehicle wreck with no injuries at 2:07 p.m. Friday on Hwy. 51. They also responded to a single vehicle wreck without injuries at 6:09 a.m. Saturday on I-55 near mile marker 48. Overall, they reported a total of 26 wrecks and disoriented vehicles throughout their patrol district Friday through Sunday.
KDMC Ambulance report
King’s Daughters Medical Center Ambulance Service reported 64 calls Friday through Sunday. Fourteen were transfers, with eight to Jackson, three to Pike County, one to Forrest General and two in the city. There were 40 emergency calls; 24 medical, with 18 in the city and six in the county; six traumas, with three in the city and three in the county; 20 MVAs, with 13 in the city and seven in the county.
