The National Weather Service in Jackson has issued a winter storm warning for Lincoln County and surrounding areas from 9 p.m. tonight through noon Friday.

Light rain will gradually mix with then change over to light snow tonight and Friday morning. Snow accumulations of two inches or higher amounts are expected, according to the NWS.

Plan on difficult travel conditions, including during the morning commute on Friday.

A winter storm warning for snow means severe winter weather conditions are expected. If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food and water in your vehicle in case of an emergency.
